One September Day in 2008 I decided I would ride my bike up the side of Mount Washington–the highest peak on the East Coast. At the time, I was 49 years old, thirty pounds overweight, and an amputee. One August day in 2011, I did just that. I was no longer 30 pounds overweight. Or 49, for that matter. And, I thought that was going to be the end of the story. Turns out, it was just the beginning…
